In a fervent display of democratic fervor, students at Ndejje University flocked to the polls yesterday, casting their votes in a hotly contested election. The results, streamed in from both the Kampala campus and the main campus, reveal a thrilling showdown with Kimuli emerging as a frontrunner.
At the main campus, the vote tally unfolded as follows: Kimuli secured a commanding lead with 643 votes, followed closely by Karungi with 492 votes, and Makky trailing with 474 votes.
At the Business Facility polling station, the dynamics shifted slightly with Karungi surging ahead, clinching 104 votes, while Kimuli followed closely with 25 votes, Makky secured 75 votes, and Appolo managed to garner 25 votes.
Meanwhile, at the Senate Polling Station, Kimuli maintained its lead with 42 votes, trailed by Karungi with 28 votes, Makky with 20 votes, and Appolo with 7 votes.
Breaking down the percentages, at the main campus, Kimuli secured 38.7%, Karungi 29.7%, and Makky 28.6%.
At the Business Facility, Karungi claimed 42.5%, while Kimuli, Makky, and Appolo secured 9.4%, 27.2%, and 9.4% respectively.
At the Senate Polling Station, Kimuli held 51.9%, Karungi 34.5%, Makky 24.1%, and Appolo 7.4%.
